The Germantown Village Board approved Ordinance 2013-05, An Ordinance Repealing Section 24-4-8 and Creating Section 24-4-12 of Article V, Chapter 24 of the Revised Code of Ordinances of the Village of Germantown, Clinton County, Illinois, effective May 1, 2013.
Requirements
- Proof of current liability insurance
- Must be certified with the Village and have the vehicles certified with the Village by inspection by the Village designated representative
- Must display a Village decal on the front and rear of the vehicle
- Must have a current, valid Illinois drivers license
- Golf carts and Utility Terrain Vehicles must be equipped as follows:
- Horn
- Brakes and brake lights
- Turn signals on the front and rear
- A steering wheel apparatus
- Tires
- Rearview Mirror
- Approved “Slow Moving Vehicle” emblem on the rear of the vehicle
- Headlight that emits a white light visible from a distance of Five Hundred (500) feet to the front which must illuminate when in operation
- Tail lamp that emits a red light visible from at least One Hundred (100) feet from the rear which must be illuminated when in operation
- Any additional requirements which may be amended to 65 ILCS 5/11-1428, 65 ILCS 5/11-1426.1 or the Illinois Motor Vehicle Code
